Today’s teens are growing up in a fast paced, high pressure world filled with social media, unrealistic body standards, and constant information overload. As a result, many are developing poor habits early on, spending more time on screens, staying up late, and under eating. It is also common for teens to rely on ultra processed foods, often grabbing quick snacks or fast food before practice, after practice, or even on competition days. These patterns not only affect physical performance and growth but can also impact mood, focus, and long term health. This stage of life is a critical window to help teens build the right habits, confidence, and awareness that will carry them into adulthood.
That is exactly why I created the 6 Week Youth Summer Strength & Nutrition Camp. Over the past few years, I have seen firsthand how many of the habits that shape long-term health start developing during the teen years. I realized it is much easier to help teens build strong, healthy habits early on before they become harder to break in adulthood. Through working with youth over the past 3 years, I have developed a deep passion for supporting this age group and helping them create a foundation that will carry them through life. Through my firsthand experience, I have truly seen how strength training combined with proper nutrition has helped teens excel in their sports, improve performance, and feel more confident in their abilities. This program combines strength training with proper form to help prevent injuries, along with movement education and hands-on nutrition lessons. Teens will learn how to fuel their bodies, improve performance, and build true confidence both inside and outside of the gym. This is not just another summer camp. It is an opportunity to invest in your teen’s health, mindset, and future.
During the 6 Week Youth Summer Strength & Nutrition Camp, your teen will receive hands-on coaching in a small group setting limited to 5 participants, with a focus on proper strength training, nutrition education, and overall health. Each session will consist of 1 hour of guided strength training and 30 minutes dedicated to hands-on nutrition lessons. The program includes a total of 18 sessions over the 6 weeks and is designed to teach teens how to safely move their bodies, fuel themselves properly, and build confidence both inside and outside of the gym.
We will meet every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Mission Fitness Center, located at 690 S Date Ave, Alhambra, CA. All costs for the program include the gym entrance fees.
In addition to group sessions, Fuel Fridays will include post-workout snacks to help reinforce proper fueling strategies. Each teen will also receive one 30-minute one-on-one nutrition counseling session to further personalize their nutrition education. These sessions will be scheduled individually around the regular group meet-up days. If any sessions are missed, please communicate in advance, and I will coordinate a group make-up day (1 hour) with parents and teens toward the end of the 6 weeks. In the event of any scheduling conflicts around holidays such as July 4th, we will communicate as a group to make any necessary adjustments.
They will learn:
This camp is designed to give youth the tools they need to build a strong foundation for both athletic performance and lifelong wellness.
A small group program designed to help teens build strength safely, learn proper nutrition, and create healthy habits that support growth, sports performance, and long-term well-being.
